Appeal a Graduate Admission Decision
A candidate whose application is denied has the right to appeal the decision. In order to appeal your decision, please email your letter of appeal as a PDF attachment to grads@ung.edu. Your written letter of appeal must include strong evidence to support the basis for your appeal. Your letter should consist of information beyond what was previously submitted in your admissions file and detail your ability to be successful in graduate studies.
Some graduate programs at the University of North Georgia only grant appeals for provisional admission status. Refer to the Appeal of Graduate Admission section under the How to Apply header on the program specific webpage to determine if students whose appeals are granted will be admitted as provisional degree-seeking students. If you are admitted under a provisional status, your student record will be evaluated at a later date to determine eligibility for regular status. Timelines and requirements vary per program. While studying under the provisional status, you will only be able to register for the maximum number of credit hours allowable for provisional degree-seeking students for that program, and you must maintain the GPA requirements set by your program of study to continue your studies each term. Also, no provisional status student is eligible for federal financial aid. If your appeal is granted the Graduate 麻豆视频最新最全 Office will notify you of your status. Students admitted under the provisional status may not appeal for regular admission.
